Mr. Curtain was my principal at Callaway Elementary School. He was kind, and inspired me to always do my best. I thought of him often as I navigated graduate school, and traveled the world throughout my professional career. He believed in my academic abilities when I was a little girl, and that belief gave me the confidence to achieve my goals with tenacity and grace.

Abundant blessings to his family & friends. He was a good man, and great principal!

I had Mr.Curtain as a teacher for 5th and 6th
grade at Montebello elementary school. He was a great teacher who gave me the confidence to go on and get a doctorate degree. I wish I could talk to him again.

I'm so very sorry for your family's loss of Mr. Stanley Curtain. He was an awesome principal during my years at Callaway Elementary school back during the 70s. He had a very powerful, yet kind presence. Mr. Curtain made lunchtime fun for us, allowing us to dance on the stage, as long as we were cooperative during lunch. He was the best and will be truly missed!!!!!

Shirley, I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember Stan fondly as a super principal but especially for his priceless, irreverent stand-up routines at numerous PSASA events. My thoughts are with you and your family.
