Meeting Stan was one of the best experiences of my high school yearas. He was a great friend. Kind and positive to almost everyone he came in contact with in addition to being maybe the smartest person I've ever known. I still miss him and think of him often.

Just googled Stan to see if I could track him down! I went to LSU for grad school and haven't talked to him since 1998 but thought of him often. I'm heartbroken to see this news. As a transplant from the northeast, Stan made my days in Baton Rouge brighter. I am confident that I will never meet another gem like Stan. Wishing Stan and those who knew him peace. What a special man.

I just found out about this news and am just heartsick. So deeply sorry for this great loss. Stan was one of a kind and will be truly missed. My thoughts are with his friends and family through this first Christmas season apart. Please, if anyone is able to reach out and share about his passing, it would ease my heart and mind. You have my loving sympathy.

So sorry to hear about Stanley's passing. I knew him from elementary school, high school and college. One of the best, nicest and smartest people I knew. I had lost track of Stanley over the years, but thought of him often. I only wish our paths would have crossed more often.

Stan was a friend, a brother, and I guess even a father figure. trustworthy and loving and always there for someone in need, he truly made a difference in so many lives. He had the strength and the size to break most men in half without breaking a sweat but he chose to be a protector and never an aggressor. I don't know how many times over the years I've told stories about big Stan but I couldn't count them on the fingers and toes of everybody who reads this post. Godspeed my brother.

Stan was beyond a mere friend. For many of us in our follies of youth, he was our protector.
Kind, gracious, sarcastic, and dear, Stan was the epitome of friend.
I lost touch with him over the years, but his grace has stretched far into my life.

I had the pleasure of working with "Stan the man" back in day in our college years. He always had my back and he was the kindest, most gentle soul. This earth has lost another wonderful soul. RIP my friend.
