In memory of
Steve & Margaret Jones
January 11, 2017
Aunt Judy, we were so saddened to hear the news about Uncle Stanley. His smile and laugh was contagious and we will never forget it. We have memories that we will keep forever and took comfort in seeing all the family and friends that cared so much for him. We love you, Steve and Margaret

I was in both the Crit Group and the Reality Group with Stan. In the early months of the reality group we watched Bill Moyer's interviews with Joseph Campbell who is a Harvard anthropologist. In his book "The Hero with a Thousand Faces" he says "Wherever he may wander. Whatever he may do he ever in the presence of his own essence, for he has perfected his eyes to see. There is no separateness."
Stan is my hero.
I love you.

Judy,
Long before I came to Washington and had many opportunities to work with you, Stan's writing about health policy was a beacon for me. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts. Carolyn

Judy, While Stan wore many hats during a long and fruitful life, I choose to salute his role as a founder of Health Policy Alternatives. Those of us who had the good fortune to join the firm in later years were much blessed by the decisions and excellent reputations of its founders. My wife, Cathie, and I are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Judy,
I know you will feel the loss of Stan deeply and forever. Know that he was well loved and respected by all his friends and colleagues. I know you will be surrounded by family and friends. That circle of support is very large, and we are thinking of you and Stan and the wonderful partnership you had.

Sending our deepest sympathies. Stan leaves such a wonderful legacy, sharing his warmth, kindness and gentleness with everyone. While his loss leaves a profound hole, his gifts continue to enrich so many. I hope that over time the pain will be less acute and your memories bring you joy.
Much love

Judy, Stan's grace and wisdom were unique and wonderful gifts wherever he happened to be--not to mention countless places he was present in the form of those he touched. Even though our recent Stan "sightings" were far too rare, Pat and I remain ever grateful. We send our deepest sympathy to you and your family, and warm wishes for the comfort of his spirit.

Judy,
When I read Stan's notice this morning it brought back a flood of memories of you both over the years. You were a great team and both of you were great examples to me of what public service could achieve. You have my fullest sympathy.

I can't imagine the world without Stan. I know his answer to this statement would include a physics lesson and then a joke about how insignificant he is in the world. But you know his words of wisdom wrapped in wonder and whimsy have shaped my life in hugely significant ways.
Love you so much
