To the Loomis family. I am so sorry to read about the passing of Stan and Ruth. I lived down the block from them from 1958-72. I was friends with all the children especially Stan Jr. since we were only a year apart. I am also sadden reading that Stan Jr. and Annette has passed. I remember us playing tree tag in a tree in their front yard and playing crocket during the hot summers in the 1960s. Jim White

I have the best childhood memories of visiting Uncle Stanley and Auntie Ruth and spending time with my Loomis cousins. We were always warmly welcomed. It was obvious that family was supremely important to Uncle Stanley and he wanted to make sure we all had a good time. There were beach days, boat trips, and playing outside till way after dark. Uncle Stanley was usually right there with us kids. In later years, when I took my own daughter there for a visit, I was really touched by how tender and caring he was with her. I think I may have even seen a tear or two on the drive to the airport for our return flight.

My mother claims that she and Stanley (who was two years her junior) were always best friends and playmates. She says they never argued. Not sure if that was true, but she does have some great stories. We will miss him, but will honor him for the life he lived.

I don't know where to begin. All the memories, from a child poking him and he would laugh like the Pillsbury dough boy, to all the times spent at the beach, with the family and in the later years spending a wonderful day with him only to have him not remember the next day. I love you for all the support you gave me when my parents and brother died. I always felt comfortable at your house, whether it was a game of ping pong, shuffleboard or a dish of ice cream. Your book was funny and moving and you will be missed! Love you Uncle Stan

Mr. Loomis, you are gone to soon, but will always be remembered. He was a very loving man and could fix just about anything. You were such a warm and loving person who would give of himself when ever called upon. You had a great sense of humor and always a warm welcome to anyone lucky enough to cross your path. You were always there to help others, and could fix just about anything. You will always be remembered for your warm and welcoming nature whenever we visited you and you loving wife and family. I know that you and Mrs Loomis are together with Stan Jr and Annette and our watching over all of us as we go about our days. May God Bless you always .
