I was sad to learn of Stan's passing. To Sharon and the rest of his family, I am very sorry for your loss. I remember one day Stan telling us that he had to take off work to go to school to learn how to become a "good grandparent" (he was so excited), and then there was the day when he killed a "computer mouse" in front of an employee's door because he had a Christmas tree in his office. I enjoyed working, debating and laughing with Stan over the years at Goddard. He was a dedicated employee but his true passion was his family, you all meant everything to him. I hope the many wonderful memories of Stan comfort you and ease your pain.

I worked with Stan from my first days at NASA/GSFC in 1980. He was with Sperry Univac then and was a great field engineer. I continued to work with him as he joined the civil service ranks. Stan was a passionate and caring person and will be sorely missed.

My sweet, darling, funny Cousin - I remember when you would babysit Alan and me, and tell us scary stories; I remember you giving me a ride in your first car, and it bumped up and down; I remember dating your friends, and having so much fun with all of you - I remember when you lived with us, and would tell my Mom when I was being bad - I remember trips to Glen Echo, riding in the back of Henry's station wagon - so many memories of my big Cousin who I grew up with; and so many laughs - rest well, dear man, I love you

I am truly sorry for Sharon and the rest of the Rubin family. I feel extremely blessed to have seen Stanley one more time when I came from Ohio to visit my parents, Sid and Andrea. I remember Stanley more so when I was a child, but it was very nice to see him once again as an adult with children of my own.
