Stanley Skalicky
November 1, 1909 - April 23, 2016
Stanley Skalicky was born November 1, 1909, in Owatonna, Minnesota to Joseph and Marie Skalicky. He graduated from Tri-State College in Angola, Indiana with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He married Bernice Richter in May, 1941 at the little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
Stanley worked as project Engineer for a structural steel and plate fabricator company in Hammond, Indiana until 1956 when they moved to Denver, Colorado. There he worked for the Stearns Roger Engineering Corp. until his retirement in 1976. They then moved to Delta, Colorado and later to Grand Junction. He was a master Mason for 76 years and a 32 degree Mason recently of Lodge 62 in Delta, Colorado.
Stanley enjoyed gardening, fishing, and camping.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice; parents; one sister and four brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Conway of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Joan Fitzgerald of Thornton, Colorado; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Skalicky was cremated.
