Colonel, It's a sad day to hear that you've left us. I think it would be very difficult to list all of the people you touched in your amazing life, but I know for a fact that every encounter we had with you was a gift. And I feel that there's a special place in heaven for us Pollocks. If you could, do me a favor. Keep them in line up there. And I look forward to hearing you read from the good book again someday.

You were blessed with a long and richly satisfying life, sir, and leave behind many grateful law enforcement and military people, as well as a family of which you must have been very proud. What a great man! The world is diminished by his loss. He instilled the concepts of honor and discipline in a bunch of "kids" at the police academy and he was remarkably supportive of the women in the field. Not that common in 1978. Thank you for everything Colonel. You set high standards that we all strove to reach. I will never forget you.

Col Wisnioski was my class advisor. I was in the 79th academy. I will never forget him pushing me to better than I am. I graduated from the Academy and I have now been with the sheriffs office for the last 30 years thank you for giving me that strength to push myself for the rest of my life you are an incredible man and you will be greatly missed ..

A great man who was loved by many. He will be greatly missed.

I met Col. Stanley Wisniosky in 1978 while attending classes at the Criminal Justice Institute at [then] Broward Community College. I respected him and admired his way with people from all walks of life. He used his wit, intelligence and commitment to duty to bring out the best in all of us. I had recently completed 3 years of active duty in the Army. He sometimes joked with me that he was an "acting" brigadier general in the guard and that it was a "wooden star" and he was in-line for the real one. He had my deepest respect and admiration. Col. Wisniosky was definitely one of those people I would never forget. My sincere condolences to your family and may you Rest in Peace sir..

Stan the Man Wisnioski! 1976-1977 60th session, he was awesome. Many a police officer learned alot from him. he was mans man and a cops cop. Lucky to have talked to him a year ago. Shared some great stories of my career and all that he and his staff taught us. RIP Colonel.

The Colonel was my commandant when I went through the Police Academy in 1976 with Joe Hess. I got to know him well and he shared with me a great deal about the profession I going into..

I new the Colonel for many years via the Broward police academy he also lived in my neighborhood where I saw and spoke with him often. He was a gentleman and scholar. He prepared many young men to be police officers and will surely be missed. May you RIP.

The Colonel was a true patriot, soldier, law enforcement officer and instructor to many of us. My academy was prior to him but I had him for classes a few years later. He was inspiring. Damn few of these kind of men left in this age of nonsense.

It saddens me at the loss of this fine man. Met him at the Police Academy and could do no more than admire his patience and demeanor. God bless his family for their loss.

I got to know Colonel Wisnioski when I was going through the academy in 1986. I was so scared of him when I first met him, and then I got to know him and just fell in love with his personality. He was a great instructor, a great mentor, and an honorable man. Something that is hard to find these days. I have thought about him fondly many times over the years . My thoughts and prayers are with you his family. I hope you can be grateful for the time you had with him even though it is never enough time.

So sad to hear about Col. Wisnioski. He was the Academy director back in 1976. One thing you can't deny, he was always firm but very fair and great to talk to. Your kind of leadership is not here any longer.

Very sad when I heard of Stan's passing however a great man and I have awesome memories of what he taught me in the corrections academy and once again in the cross over to police academy !! God bless his family and my deepest prayers for all of you.

He was truly a great man. He was an Lead Instructor at the Broward County Police/Corrections Academy. He was a GREAT Instructor and he really made learning fun. Heaven has gained an Angel. He was a great man,person,and friend. I learned alot of valuable lessons from this man. It was truely an HONOR to have met him.If not for him I would have never gone into Law Enforcement.

You arrived at the Criminal Justice Bldg for the 50th Academy but didn't take over till the 51st Academy. We were somewhat of slackers, but the next group made up for it. RIP sir.

R.I.P. Col. Wisnioski. Prayers and hugs to his whole family. What a great guy. He made us the way most of us acted thru our whole Deputy Sheriff life. He will be missed.

Worked with Stan for several years when I was assigned as Commander of the Broward Police Academy/ I always admired his personal bearing and respect for the quasi military nature of police work. Great man, great patriot, and great public servant.
