Rest In Peace, Steina. My memories of our time together in Chappaqua will always be with me.

Steina was always so full of energy and absolutely wonderful agent. Her presence was inspiring and gracious. The last time we spoke she was so excited about her sons new home on Long Island and how proud she was of his undertaking. She was truly a rare gem.

Steina was a powerhouse of ideas and energy... And she did it all so stylishly!
Thank you for your help when we needed it, you will always be remembered so fondly.

Dear Steina -- my favorite memory of you is of your enthusiasm for the Realtor Foundation Garden project. You inspired the whole group with your leadership and dogged participation even when you had so little strength. I will treasure thoughts of your smiles and efforts that brought such a bountiful harvest at The Healing Place.

What an inspiration Steina was! She will be missed. May the special memories her family has carry them through this difficult time and help them celebrate her life. Godspeed!

Steina was our realtor showing us houses when we moved to Raleigh. We were amazed by her energy and passion for her work. She became then a friend and always keeping in touch. She always sent us the christmas letter she used to write and we enjoyed reading it. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to her family at this time of loss. May her soul rest in peace!

Steina came into my life as my nanny, but left as a big sister, a friend, a mentor. Her passion was amazing: for her work, her friends, her travel, but mainly for her family. Her bravery too: she put up her dukes against this wretched disease, and never stopped fighting. I miss you already, Steina, but am proud of how you lived your life, and so glad that you were a part of mine.

You meant so much to everyone in our family. All our children loved you, Ralph gave you away at your wedding, and your reception was in our home. You were a true member of our clan, we are all grateful for the years of joy you brought to us.

Steina was charged with being a nanny to myself and my younger brother Andrew. In no time at all, she became a cherished member of the family, and I considered her more of an older sister than disciplinarian. She was a tour-de-force, larger than life, a voracious traveler and adventurer, a truly devoted and justifiably proud mother, and a true blue friend. And incredibly brave. My darling Steina, I will miss you. To her beloved children and family, I extend my most heartfelt sympathy.

You will forever be remembered by every life you touched. Your candle will have an everlasting flame to light the way of others who stood beside you in your darkest days. Thank you for raising the bar of professionalism in Real Estate & for making us all laugh. Your family will be in our thoughts & prayer.

Steina was a great lady. Upon meeting her, you were instantly a good friend.

I will always remember Steina for her absolute love of life. She tackled life head on: coming to America to study, living in Brazil and speaking flawless Portuguese, traveling the world to absorb as much of a culture as was possible. She loved her children and always recognized their individual personalities; she was loyal to those who knew her. I will miss her annual letters, her occasional visits to my home when she returned to New York and her utter joy to be able to experience life to its fullest. David Firnhaber

Although I knew Armando for over 20 years, in both NY and Raleigh, I knew Steins as upbeat and focused on career, family and travel. She obviously had a life worth living and will be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I had no idea Steina's breast cancer had come back. In fact, she called not long ago and we had a very nice conversation. She never said a word about her health. I met Steina in Chappaqua in the 80's. Although our paths eventually took us in different directions, I have many happy memories of our times together raising young children. My heartfelt condolences go to her children---Marcello, Andrew, Paul and Victoria----her ex husband, Armando, and her entire family. May you rest in peace, Steina. Love, Janet
