Stella M. Croft, 77, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at home. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, September 8 at the Advantage Chapel at 6606 Independence Ave. with visitation preceding from 11:30-12:30. Burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be made to Kendallwood Hospice, 2908 Vivion Rd., Riverside, MO 64150. Mrs. Croft was born March 27, 1930 in Thebes, Ill. She was married to William Croft for over 47 years. The first 25 years were filled with travel, as William was in the military. They were the parents of three daughters. Stella was a member of the 15th St. Baptist Church. She was a great cook and baker and those aromas will be missed in the house. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed her children greatly; she will be missed by all her family. She was preceded in death by her husband William; 3 brothers, Harvey, Darold and Gerold Staton; 2 sisters, Helen Dunning and Lucille Stephens. She is survived by 3 daughters, Billie Bentz, Deanna Croft, and Debra Croft; 2 sisters Getty and Lilly; and 1 brother Harold; 6 grandchildren, Gregory, Gary, Sherri, Michael, Tony, and Kelly and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
