Stephanie Lynn (Althouse) Klotz

Stephanie Lynn (Althouse) Klotz, aged 40, passed away unexpectedly on December 17, 2023, due to the disease of addiction. A cherished daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, Stephanie's fun-loving spirit and infectious laugh will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Born on July 8, 1983, Stephanie was raised in Prospect Park, PA. She attended Prospect Park Elementary and Interboro High School, where she excelled academically and was a proud member of the National Honor Society. After graduating summa cum laude from the PJA Paralegal School, Stephanie pursued a successful career as a paralegal, contributing her expertise to several realty law firms over the years.

Stephanie was a talented dancer, having trained for many years at the Cathie Collins School of Dance. She also shared her passion for cheerleading as a coach for the Prospect Park Termite cheerleaders. A devoted Philadelphia sports fan, Stephanie loved attending games and never missed a Paul McCartney or Fleetwood Mac concert when they were in town. Her love extended to her canine companions, Tippie, Smoke, Blaze, and most recently, Theo.

The love of Stephanie's life was her husband, Kenneth "Bear" Klotz, who tragically passed away in December 2016. She is survived by her parents, Irene (Shiber) and Steve Althouse; her sister, Elizabeth Althouse; her brother, Ryan Althouse; her grandmother, Jean Shiber; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her loving companion, Tim Generale. In addition to her husband, Stephanie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Howard Shiber, Sr., and Jean and Ralph Althouse.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on January 4, 2024, at Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, Norwood, PA, with visitation at 9:30 am and a prayer service at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Stephanie's memory may be made to The National Alliance on Mental Illness Philadelphia Chapter at www.namiphilly.org or to a charity of your choice.
