I knew Stephanie only for the past 20 years or so but it was always a pleasure to visit, and especially to hear her stories of the old country. What a lot of change she saw in her years!

There are things that we don't want to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn, and people we can't live without but have to let go. You are one of those people for me Grandma. I have lots of great memories to hold in my heart always. My memories are my treasures. Thank you for them. Thank you for everything. I love you Grandma. Always.

Great Grandma,
I didn't see you much because we live so far away but on the rare times I came to Canada, I looked forward to seeing you and listening to your stories from the past. Your strength was always inspirational and you died surrounded by family. I love you.

You and Peter were so kind to Dwight and I when we visited you in Niagara Falls and you both took us to the US side to see the Nicola Tessla statue. I will miss our late night chats where we would talk for an hour or more. You were wise, strong, sharp, articulate, with a deep passion of the world and those around you. Rest in peace dear Stephanie. The world has lost a bright star. Barbara and Dwight Carroll, Kelowna BC

Family gatherings, palachinka, sausage, your homemade chicken noodle soup, the annual Easter egg cracking contest, the alka seltzer guy, the boy peeing toy, Point Pelee beach, the big fan in the basement, your bountiful garden, birthday cards and your great stories.

Thanks for great memories.

Love Mark

Gran, I was so lucky to have really known you. You were always so strong and wise and kind. You made me laugh and taught me so much about life, I will try to remember all the stories. You were so weak and your speech was so hard to understand that last day, but you got your wish and your mind was still good until you closed your eyes that last time.. We were honored to be there with you comforting you as you were born into the next life. I know you will always watch over us as we go on and will be waiting for us when it is our time. You finished your bucket list and then you left us. Love ya Gran!!!!

To Mike Mandich -
A voice out of the past. Please accept my sympathy in the loss of your Mother. I well remember working with you on the UCC Committee on Liturgy, and have often wondered where you are. My caring thoughts are with you.
