I am sorry to hear of this tragic loss. I know Stevie will be missed by many. When she first joined GFS, I knew she would grow to be an integral part of the department, and it looks like she has. I've been gone from Cargill for over two years and still smile when I think of Stevie....I always will.

Co-worker who will miss Stevie's smile...

"Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to a new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints in our hearts, and we are never, ever the same."

I had the great pleasure of working with Stevie at Cargill GFS. I wanted to share this poem:

"Christmas in Heaven"

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below with tiny lights like heaven's stars reflecting on the snow. The sight is so spectacular please wipe away that tear for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear but the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here. I have no words to tell you of the joy their voices bring for it is beyond description to hear the angels sing. I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. I can't tell you of the splendor or the peace here in this place, Can you just imagine Christmas with our Savior face to face? I'll ask him to lift your spirit as I tell him of your love, so then pray for one another as you lift your eyes above. Please let your hearts be joyful and let your spirit sing for I am spending Christmas in heaven and I'm walking with the King.

One Who Loved Stevie

I never had the opportunity to meet Stevie personally, but from what I have heard from my sister, who worked with her, she was angel. Although she will be dearly missed let us be comforted in the belief that she is up in hevaen singing with the angels to our LORD. I will keep the family in my thoughts and prayers.

I had the pleasure of working with Stevie right when she started working at Cargill. She was a great addition to our group and I really enjoyed working with her. I don't work there anymore but I was shocked to hear of her untimely death. I remember the love she expressed for her husband, her family and for animals. God has a beautiful angel in Heaven. My prayers go to her family.

I've known Stevie since she started at Cargill. She always was a bright, energetic, caring and fun person. She had a special way of giving that touched us all and she brightened the room with her presence. She will be dearly missed by everyone here in GFS and will always be in our thoughts.

While it be be a cliche, I thought of V (my nickname for SteVie) like a sister. We were always looking out for each other and I felt I could talk to her about things I couln't with anybody else. I guess the best way I can say good by is:

I loved you while you were here

I'll miss you now you're gone.

In thoughts and prayers I'll keep you near

You think I won't?
