Stephanie Wiley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 18, 2025.
Miss Stephanie "Steph" Wiley, age 48, passed away on September 1, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. Born on February 6, 1977, in Charleston, South Carolina, Stephanie brought light and warmth into the lives of all who knew her.

Stephanie was the beloved daughter of Jerome Wiley of Summerville, South Carolina, and Beverly Wiley of Atlanta, Georgia. She was a devoted mother to her sons Tony Simmons Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; Akeleb Simmons of Charleston, South Carolina; and the late Jamie D. Simmons of Moncks Corner, South Carolina. Her love extended to her cherished grandson Jamie Simmons of Charleston, South Carolina.

Stephanie's siblings include her brothers Rodney Wiley of Atlanta, Georgia; Hershel Wiley (Nicole) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and her late sister Delerease K. Wiley of Moncks Corner, South Carolina. She is also remembered by a host of aunts, brothers, cousins, friends, nephews, nieces, sisters and uncles who were touched by her presence and spirit.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Elouise Gregory Jamerson and Reverend Nathaniel Jamerson of Moncks Corner, South Carolina; paternal grandparents Flossie Brown and Lewis Wiley of Summerville, South Carolina; her son Jamie D. Simmons; and her sister Delerease K. Wiley.

Stephanie received her education at Berkeley High School and James Madison High School before continuing on to Trident Technical College where she trained as a Medical Assistant. Her professional life reflected her deep commitment to helping others-she found fulfillment working in customer service roles as well as in clinical laboratory technician positions and patient care services. Stephanie always enjoyed working and took pride in being dependable and compassionate in every role she held.

Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. Stephanie always displayed a joyful love for God through Christ and found spiritual nourishment attending church services at places that resonated with her heart. Her belief in God and the wonder-working power of the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ was evident in how she lived-with grace, kindness, and unwavering faith.

Stephanie had a sweet spirit that radiated joy wherever she went. To know her was truly to love her. She had an infectious smile that brightened rooms and hearts alike. Family-oriented and full of ambition and life, she found joy in simple pleasures-spending quality time with loved ones, cooking delicious meals from the heart, cleaning with care, exercising for wellness, listening to music that moved the soul, traveling to explore new places and flavors, watching favorite television shows for comfort or laughter-and always being there for others when they needed someone to listen.

Resourceful by nature and generous with her time and energy, Stephanie made it a point to uplift those around her. Whether through networking or simply lending an ear to someone who needed to be heard, she left lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to cross paths with her.

Stephanie "Steph" Wiley will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched with compassion and joy.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Wilson Cemetery 1768 Longridge Rd of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, 29461
