Steve was my fraternity brother, in the largest sense of the word, at Dartmouth. My visit to him at his Peace Corps site in India was an unforgettable experience. We lost touch for many years afterward but when we did re-find each other, all the special qualities that made him such a great friend were still there, with the addition of his wonderful companion Meg. You left us too soon, Steve.

Stephen was amazing. How fortunate I was to be part of the Poetry Lovers group and hear his brilliant comments. I shall never forget you and your dear wife Meg.

My life is richer because I know you both. I was stunned when I read the obituary. Steve came through a tough bicycle accident and got to experience more life. Reading the obituary told me about Steve´s amazing life. Thinking of you with great care

We are so sad to hear of Steve´s death. We were hoping to have more travel experiences together. Steve was a joy to be with. He shared his wealth of knowledge with us in an easy doing manner. He loved opera and art and broadened our views in those areas. We will never forget our Viking cruises together and engaging dinner conversations. Our life is fuller having Steve as a dear friend. We miss him. Sending sympathy to Meg and Steve´s family.
Love,
Jean and John Westberg
