CASTEEL Stephen ""Steve'' William Casteel, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2007. Beloved husband of Sheri Casteel. Father of Lisa Redfern and Stephen William Casteel, Jr. Son of Wade and Louise Matthews. Brother of Choncey Casteel II, Michael Casteel, Deborah Moore, Donna Stewart, Patricia Keeffe and Charlene Venezia. Also survived by 4 grandchildren: Alyssa Beck, Victor Redfern, Arielle Hilliard and Hannah Casteel. Uncle of Choncey Casteel III, Jeffery Casteel, Christina Casteel, Victoria Casteel, Daniel Casteel, Cassandra Casteel, Michael Casteel, Jr. Michael Casteel III, Robert McMillian, Randall McMillian, Ricky McMillian, Elizabeth Matthews, Rodger Matthews, Shane Bayless, Susanna Bayless, Rebecca Venezia, Jeffery Venezia and Cory Venezia. Nephew of Jimmie Hensely and Dorothy Hensley. Also survived by his childhood friend, Ben Steagal. Age 44 years. A native of Miami, Florida and a resident of Slidell, LA for over 30 years. Steve was a former employee of Textron Marine Services and the son of Char-Lou's Restaurant in Lacombe, lA. H e was active in Political campaigns in St. Tammany Parish. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE BLVD. WEST (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, LA on Friday, June 8, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY. Visitation on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday after 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. Arrangements by HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, INC., Slidell, LA.
