Stephen Chicola, age 64, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, passed away on January 2, 2024. He was born on March 28, 1959, in Olean, New York. Stephen was a loving husband to his wife, Alishia, and a devoted father and Gumpa to his six beautiful grandchildren. He dedicated his life to his family and worked as the owner and carpenter of Chicola Carpentry, building his business from the ground up. Stephen had a giving and loving heart that was legendary, and he never met a stranger.

Stephen leaves behind his children, Julie Shields, Stephen Chicola, Jacob, and Jesse, along with his cherished grandchildren, Wyatt, Murphy, Trey, Jackson, Kinsey Rose, and Jett. He also leaves behind countless family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Stephen grew up in Olean, New York, and later settled in Jacksonville, Florida, where he raised his family.

In addition to his immediate family, Stephen is survived by his wife, Alishia Chicola, his son Stephen Chicola, his daughter Julie Shields, and his sons Jacob and Jesse. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Chicola, and his grandmother, Rose Kinsey.

Stephen's hobbies included gardening and building furniture, which allowed him to express his creativity and passion for craftsmanship. He found joy in these activities and took pride in his work.

A celebration of Stephen Chicola's life is planned for March 28, 2024, at 4:30 PM at the San Marco Preservation Hall, located at 1652 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207. Family Funeral in Pensacola, Florida, is assisting with the arrangements.

Please join us as we remember and honor the life of Stephen Chicola, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.
