Reading your messages regarding your friend or acquaince Steve Coker Sr., warms my heart. He's mentioned the name of J. Search (bragged just in 2016 about his visit). He live a hearty live and was at peace when he whispered his final goodbye.
So many people were impacted by my father Steve Coker Sr.

To the Coker family I'm so sorry for your loss. Steve and I have been friends since the sixth grade at Walbridge and Libbey High, Steve got me into Boxing at the old Local 12 Gym. Steve and I work together at Atlas Storm Doors back in 1962, I left Toledo to join the U.S Army and Steve and I remain close Friends over the years. He and his son came to visit me in Las Vegas during one of his many trips to California to visit his son and family. I'll miss Steve's phone calls. He will be missed.

I went to Walbridge School and Libbey with Steve. We didn't hang out together and as a matter of fact really didn't know each other very much. But for some unexplained reason I always like and respected him because of our grade school days. Don't know what it was but I do know that when I would think about him over the years he brought a smile to my face. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
