Stephen Collias

Stephen Collias of Lexington, KY formerly of Winchester, KY and Sistersville, WV, passed away June 30, 2025, surrounded by his family after a seven year struggle with NOH.

He was born August 1, 1937, in Charleston, WV to the late George and Mary Collias, Greek immigrants. He was a first generation American. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Manuel Collias and sisters Catherine Elkins and Elizabeth Bingnear.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia; his daughters Kerry (Scott) White of Tampa, FL and Gena (Eric Hauck) Collias of Lexington, KY, his grandson Matthew Massarone and his granddaughter Nicole Massarone both of Lexington, KY; his newest fur baby, Rendy and numerous nephews and nieces.

Steve retired from the former Union Carbide Corp. in Sistersville, WV, where he served as a union steward. He was a member of the IBCW. He served his country in both the United States Army and the National Guard.

His greatest joy was being on the golf course and was a past member of both the Sistersville Country Club and Southwind Golf Course (Winchester). He worked in the pro shop at each of them. He was also a member of the BPOE in Sistersville and Winchester, achieving life time status.

At his request there will be no services. Arrangements entrusted to Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd., Lexington, KY.
