The Campbell children will alway rememberfMr Cook - As neighbors my children lived outside and when he would come and go they would rush to the fence and say hello Mr Cook or Goodbye Mr Cook and he always took time to answer - Eleanor Campbell mother of the eight Campbell children-Longview, Texas

Dr. Cook and his family were dear friends of the Mayeaux family. He spoke with Mom and Dad in January shortly before Mom passed away. Dr. Cook performed our marriage ceremony and when I think of FIrst Presbyterian Church, Dr. Cook is first on my list..I grew up with him. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of the family! Love, Judy Quinn and Edwin Mayeaux

I've known Steve and Bippy for most of my life. Steve was our minister in the Presbyterian Church in Longview through my youth and even for the first few years of my college life. I saw him again around 15 years ago in Austin and enjoyed the conversation and time I spent with them catching up on folks that we knew. He was a gentle soul and gentlemen and he will be missed. I send my condolences to the family.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of this gentle spirit. I was not blessed with knowing him personally but I have been blessed with working with his daughter, Lucia. I have heard the love and respect in her voice as she shared memories of her childhood, the love between her mother and father and the gratitude for his guidance throughout her life. I am thankful for the special lady I am lucky enough to work with and for the father whose love shaped her into the kind, loving spirit I call friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May you find peace in knowing that your father is now with his Father in heaven.
