Stephen COVERT Obituary
Stephen Covert passed away suddenly on January 30, 2014. Born on December 29, 1942, in New Orleans, LA to the late Gustave and Rebecca Covert. Stephen moved to Palm Beach County in 1963 and was a graduate of Palm Beach Junior College, Florida Atlantic University and University of Florida Law School. Stephen practiced law in Palm Beach County until his retirement. He served on the boards of Palm Beach Community College and the School of the Arts Foundation. Stephen was preceded in death by his late wife Elizabeth Duhy Covert. He is survived by his wife Sandi Berkenfeld-Covert, his children Joanne Covert Manley and Allen (Kathryn) Covert, his brother Mark Covert, his grandson Tyler Manley and granddaughters Hannah, Abigail and Rebecca Covert. He is also survived by a loving family including Edmund and Linda Duhy, Diddy and Sharon Loeb, sister-in-law Karen Ullman, step-daughter Stacey Swietkoski and many neices and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 3, 2014 at The Borland Center, 4885 PGA Boulevard at Midtown Palm Beach Gardens at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to your favorite charity would be appreciated.

Steve was a friend for more than 35 years. He was one of those few that you could always depend on for a laugh and sound legal advice. Our thoughts go out to Steve's entire family. He will be missed by many.

I worked at DeSantis & Cook during the same time that Mr. Covert worked there. He always had a kind word and a smile on his face. He touched many lives. My prayer for his family is that God will replace the pain of loss with many, many remembrances of happy times.
