58, of Billerica, formerly of Watertown, won many battles but lost the war with cancer on November 23, 2013, with his family by his side. Loving husband of Goldi (Ovoian). Dedicated father of Melissa and Stephanie and stepfather of George and Jennifer. Son of the late Edward Sr. and June (Patterson) DeVito. Devoted brother of John, David, Robert, Paul, Peter, Francis, Richard and the late Edward Jr. and Alexander. Loving grandfather of 6. Funeral from the Donovan-Aufiero Funeral Home, 140 Otis St. (at 6th St.) EAST CAMBRIDGE Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a Rite of Christian Burial in the Sacred Heart Church, 49 Sixth St., East Cambridge at 10 AM. Visiting Monday 4-8 PM. Interment Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Knowing that grief never ends even at the twelfth anniversary mark. However, we still hold firm the precious memories of all those special times, events and just being whole. Steve was a great man with a great sense of humor. He always made me laugh! It was a pleasure knowing and working with him the past few years. He will surely be missed by all.
