So sorry Stephanie...not surprised Stephen had a meaningful and creative life. His goodness was always apparent.

Uncle Steve always had something new he was learning or a new activity he was trying. And for a good portion of his life he enjoyed metal detecting at the beach. Uncle Steve would love to come down to the beach and either float in a tube in the ocean or metal detect for hours. He also often joked about the meaningless conversation people had on the beach and that he was going to write a book entitled "beach talk" to highlight such conversations. Whenever I see someone metal detecting or overhear a ridiculous beach conversation I think of him and smile. Maybe one day I´ll write that book for him.

I met Stephen through is twin sister Stephanie during the period of time of 1977-79 I worked with Stephanie at the North Jersey Training School in Totowa, NJ. I was happy to be in his company a number of times and was touched by his kindness, modesty, talents, and sense of humor. God Bless and Rest in Peace. Amen, Patricia Dougherty
