Uncle Steve always had something new he was learning or a new activity he was trying. And for a good portion of his life he enjoyed metal detecting at the beach. Uncle Steve would love to come down to the beach and either float in a tube in the ocean or metal detect for hours. He also often joked about the meaningless conversation people had on the beach and that he was going to write a book entitled "beach talk" to highlight such conversations. Whenever I see someone metal detecting or overhear a ridiculous beach conversation I think of him and smile. Maybe one day I´ll write that book for him.
