Stephen Miller Dunn

Stephen Miller Dunn, 78, passed at St. Johns Hospital, Santa Monica, California, on April 19, 2023. Stephen was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on February 4, 1945, the son of Dr. Roy and Mrs. Mildred Dunn. He was raised in Russellville, Arkansas, attending and graduating from Russellville High School and Arkansas Tech University. He attended the School of Dentistry at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He spent time traveling the world, having lived in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, and Chile. He settled in the Miami metropolitan area and lived for 50 years in North Miami Beach, Hallendale, Miramar, and Hollywood, Florida. He owned a specialty food growing and distribution business providing sprouts and vegetables to grocery stores and restaurants throughout South Florida. He spent the last year of his life living in Los Angeles, California. He is preceded in death by his parents Roy Harold and Mildred Miller Dunn; brothers Curtis Neal Dunn and Timothy Lee (Scout) Dunn; sister Royanne Dunn (Edward) Bogy; and former wife Linda Dunn Chancellor. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Stephen (Olga Karasik) Dunn of Pacific Palisades, California; grandson Girard Alexander Dunn of Madison, Wisconsin; sister Barbara Dunn (Steve) Hughes of Russellville, Arkansas; nephews Roy Edward Bogy and George Wells (Sarah) Bogy of Memphis, Tennessee; Christian Timothy (Heather) Dunn of Wellington, Colorado; Kent Breckenridge (Amber) Dunn of Rockwell, Texas; Chris Hughes of Russellville, Arkansas; a niece Carlee Hughes (Stephen) Heiszek of Fort Worth, Texas ; and extended family throughout Arkansas, California, Colorado, Texas, and Florida.

Family and friends of Stephen Dunn and his sister Royanne Bogy are invited to a gathering at Mt. Nebo State Park Pavilion on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at 4 PM CDT, to celebrate the lives of Stephen and Royanne, who passed in January. Attendees may wish to bring a favorite memory to share. The family will host a dinner that will commence at 5 PM, and those attending are invited to join the family afterwards at Dunn's Silver Lining to walk to Sunset Point to observe the sunset in their memory.
