Stephen Goebel
Wampum - Stephen Thomas Goebel, 49, of Wampum, passed away unexpectedly on February 6, 2021.
Born February 9, 1971 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Thomas L. and Karen S. Chappell Goebel. She survives.
Stephen was formerly employed by Michael Baker's and Agway in New Castle. He was a member of the Chewton Christian Church. Stephen had a quirky sense of humor. He enjoyed music, hunting, and helping his father on the farm. He was a fan of the coast to coast radio station and had special love for his Chevy Blazer.
Survivors include son, Stephen T. Goebel, Jr.; brother, Mark (Cris) Goebel of Wampum; grandmother, Lois Chappell of Plant City, FL; niece, Alison L. Goebel of Wampum; great-niece, Sage Burkett; and many cousins, aunt's, uncle's, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday February 11, 2021 from 4:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 pm, at the Chewton Christian Church, with Pastor Thomas Whipple of the Chewton Christian Church, and Pastor Chuck Gavroy.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the New Castle City Rescue Mission.
All visitors are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
