I knew Larry when I worked as a reporter for the Eagle-Gazette in the late 1980s. I have since moved to Pickerington, and I know that his many contributions have helped to make this community as strong and vibrant as it is today. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. ~Laura Stebelton Mason

I first met Larry while we were both awaiting, nervously, our turn to appear in front of the Columbus, Ohio Police Department Recruit Oral Interview Board. We were at the last step of the selection process for the 29th. Police Recruit Class following a process that stretched from Feb. to Sept. 1961. Larry was the first called and we wished one another good luck. I didn't see Larry again until the first day of training Sept. 26, 1961. We became close friends & held that friendship since then. To Larry's family you have Keela's & my heartfelt sympathy. Larry was a fine family man, friend, community leader, police officer & much more. He'll be missed by many. Go with God Larry.

I want to express my deepest sympathy to Larry's family. He will be missed by many. Larry, Ross Rader and I played together in the Retired Officers Golf Outing over the last few years. Although he was unable to play this year he sent us an encouraging email. Your loss is shared by those of us who knew him.
