He indeed sold me a Nissan Leaf in Sept 2019. Like the great fellow he was, he kept in touch via text, helping me with small problems from afar. I am just devastated to have discovered that the melanoma and kidney problems ended his life, because he had remained so upbeat, at least so he wrote. I'm so very sad for his family and friends.

Steve and I were housemates in college. He spent the first year in the dormitory so this was his first independent living experience. We shared a class the first summer and went through many first time experiences. Steve's first car (Dodge Charger!), first girlfriend, first fine dining (he never really picked up cooking), first road trip to Reno which was in my '66 Cadillac which made an impression on him! We stayed in touch after college and met many times to play golf and eat out, even when we lived in different states. He paid for a Elton John concert one year that was pretty spendy. I got to share his last round of golf with him before the cancer weakened him so much. He was stoic throughout his health problems, and would use great discipline to eat only four ounces of meat at dinner, usually scallops! When he went on dialysis he treated himself to a new York steak at the Running Y golf resort (he shot a personal best of 87 the last time he played there) and he polished off the entire steak...never seen anyone enjoy a dinner that much! Definitely miss Steve and his ability to keep a conversation going and sharing his opinions of different matters. Rest in peace Friend!
