It's been Seven years Stephen.yet Spongebob died after you died.........we miss you Hillenburg.

I´m a huge fan of SpongeBob

wow it has been 6 years since you left this earth but your legacy lives on.

I just wanted to say thank you Steve for making so many childhoods so good I always remembered watching sponge Bob just to see your name pop up we love you Stephen.

Where do I even begin? First off, congrats on 25 years of SpongeBob! You created a show that had Generation Z roaring with laughter. As soon as the intro starts to play, reality strikes. Second of all, those characters had a good sense of humor. My favorite of course was Mr. Krabs's whale daughter Pearl. Last but not least, it's in 30 different languages! Who knew SpongeBob would be this popular? Again, congrats for being number 1 for 22 years! May your legacy live on for plenty of years to come.

I have never been sad over a celebrity death but this still hurts. The news of his passing came out of nowhere for me since I didn't know he had been diagnosed with ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, a terminal illness) a year prior. SpongeBob is not just my favorite animated series, but probably my favorite show in general. It has made such a huge impact on my childhood and life overall. I never knew Mr. Hillenburg personally but the impact he had on not just the animation industry but the world in general should never be forgotten. Even when he had his illness, he still continued to work on his show, and that truly speaks volumes about the kind of person he was.

I still can't find the right way to put this into words, but I just wanted to say, thank you. Thank you for being you, thank you for existing, and thank you all the laughter and joy you've brought to millions over the years. You may be gone, but your legacy isn't and never will. Thanks for everything, Steve.

Thank you so much to Stephen Hillenburg. He is my greatest animation inspiration and will be missed dearly. It´s because of his creation I decided to make cartoons and let myself be creative. His show always made me laugh and brightened my darkest days. He´s been dead for 5 years but we all still miss him. Thank you for my childhood Mr Hillenburg, you will be missed.

May you rest in peace with the Lord in the Kingdom of Heaven, where there is no more pain, and no more sorrow and where there is no more fears and no more tears. Spongebob was a grand cartoon, and it will be always remembered as well as the wonderful creator of the cartoon.

Thanks for giving us SpongeBob. I was a child of the 80's and grew up with so many classic animation characters. The T.M.N.T being my most favorite. I still watch them to this day. SpongeBob Squarepants will no doubt be one that will watch just the same. R.I.P Stephen.

My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Spongebob was such a big part of my childhood, and I honestly think it's one of the best cartoons of all time. I have so many good memories of watching the show after school, or while I was sick, and laughing along with all of the absurdly hilarious jokes. His legacy will live on with his amazing creation. In times like these, I like to draw comfort from God because "He heals the brokenhearted; He binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147: 3)

So Sad, I have been a fan of SpongeBob since 1999 and watched the release on Nickelodeon. I loved the jokes and the style Hillenburg wrote and helped bring to life. Where do I start? Mr. Hillenburg created an icon and a world that will forever be remembered. He brought back the innocence of childrens cartoons in a world where violence and bad language rule the day. Old and young were touched by this show, and these memories surely comfort many over this loss. I watched this wonderful cartoon faithfully with Grsndsons, Zachary snd Jerry. Spongebob and Patrick were in our bathtub for many years. We even enjoyed the reruns. Gone too soon.

Lord I never thought I'd see the day come so early of your passing. I remember watching the very first seasons on Nick, and I enjoyed them so much! The show taught me to always be kind to others, and many other things. Your show brought so much joy into my life. I fell in love with SpongeBob and the rest of the Bikini Bottom.
