Stephen Hines Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 19, 2025.
Stephen Glen Hines, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on September 14, 2025, in his hometown.

Born on June 26, 1956, in Louisville, Stephen spent his life living in many places but ultimately came home to Louisville where his home was. He built a steady career at Alcoa Aluminum Company before retiring. Known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family, Stephen was a hardworking father who took great pride in his role as a provider and protector.

Stephen is lovingly remembered by his daughter Katherine Dadisman; two sons, Jeremy Hines and Steve Tobbe (Joe); and two cherished grandchildren, Brayden and Skyler Dadisman. He is also survived by his sister Karen Hines and stepfather Jerry Elder. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Lou Elder and son-in-law Tyler Dadisman.

Stephen had a deep passion for all things related to firearms and was an avid follower of NASCAR. He enjoyed watching the news daily and never missed an opportunity to share a laugh with his granddaughter through silly emoji-filled text messages. His love for dachshunds brought him joy throughout the years, and he held strong opinions about the world around him-always hoping for a better future for the nation he cared so deeply about.

Though known for his stubborn streak, those close to Stephen knew it came from a place of deep care and conviction. His family finds peace in knowing that he is now free from pain and walking side by side with Jesus.

Stephen will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
