My friend since childhood, I miss you and our gals. I´m so thankful we got back in touch a couple years before you went to your permanent heavenly home. I enjoyed each conversation and laugh with you. I can only imagine the continual absence has on your family.

I still think of Butch practically every day. I'm happy we were back in touch several months before he left. I can tell you your best friends from childhood are never forgotten because actually they played a big role in your life. As long as there are people and family around who knew him, he will live on.

As a current DAV Volunteer Driver, I know how
much Butch was appreciated and loved by the many
Vets that had the privilege of being driven to or from
the VA by him. He was very committed to making
young and old children's lives better and brighter!
And he always had a smile and a kind word for all
of us.

You will never be forgotten. I'll always remember your mischievousness and laughter from when we were just children to that same mischievous tone of voice and laughter we've shared during this past year. I've been a friend forever-it seems. Now I will place your obit with your service newspaper picture in my bible.
Prayers and condolences to your family and love, joy and happiness to you in your new home my beloved friend. ❤
