Steve was my teacher in my first photography class at Langara. He was so enthusiastic and made learning all the technical aspects so much fun.
It was with great sadness that I recently read of his passing.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Steve will be greatly missed by all of the lives that he touched. He had a warm, caring heart and a genuine, honest nature. Many years ago, I was lucky enough to meet Steve as our parents were colleagues and friends. I picked him up from the train station as he began his new life in Vancouver. We were instant friends. We spent a lot of time together over many years, so long ago, and experienced many adventures and travels. I regret having lost touch with Steve, and greatly saddened by his passing, I will truly miss him.

I first want to express my condolences to Dr. Jackson and his daughters. I feel for you at this time and my heart is with you. Steve was the best kind of person and the greatest guy. I must say I miss my friend...one of my longest and best friends ever. I did nothing but laugh and enjoy myself every time I hung out with the guy for over 30 years.

We are so saddened by the news. We knew Steve years back from his Mountain FM days to his move to cooking school and life as a chef. Life was more fun with him around. Our thoughts go to the Jackson Family.

Quite simply Steve made me laugh. Laugh at myself, laugh at work, and laugh at this crazy thing called life! From the moment we met to the last time we spoke, he was always there with his warm smile and thoughtful perspective. A special person in my life and one who will truly be missed.

Thank you my friend.
My life would not have been as enjoyable, without knowing you.

Steve and I were great friends and we shared many adventures and good times growing up together. He was always willing to help others and was fun to be around. Steve, you will be greatly missed.

I grew up with Steve in Ottawa. I remember him as a fun-loving guy with a great sense of humour and always a smile on his face. Unfortunately I haven't seen him in years but it sounds like he packed a lot of things into his 50 years.

Having grown up next door to Stephen, I have many fond memories of time spent together especially playing road hockey where he taught me so much. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I worked with Steve years ago in radio in Ottawa. We hung out quite a bit, played loads of cribbage, and had a great time. I have always fondly remembered those times

So sorry to hear about Stephen. He was a great teacher for the photography course I did at Langara.
