Stephen Edward Kimball March 7, 1942 - April 2, 2013 Steve, our loving husband and father, passed away peacefully at the age of 71. After a long battle with cancer he passed with family and many friends by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanette, son, Jamie, and Jamie's fiancé, Amanda. Steve was a loving husband and devoted dad. He enjoyed camping in our fifth wheel RV and going on getaways with friends. Baseball was one of his favourite sports to watch and coach. Steve loved his job and worked as a big rig trucker for SLH and never wanted to retire. He was a remarkable friend and relative to many and will be forever missed but will be forever in our hearts. Steve will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held on Sat. May 4 from 1-5 at Glenbrook Park Amenities Centre 76 Jamieson Court, New Westminster. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

So Sad to Steve's passing, he will forever be missed by so many. I will treasure all of the fond memories of growing up in North Delta and having Steve and my Dad as coaches. He a alawys such a vibrant personality. Steve you will be forever missed but not forgotten.

Steve was always a friendly face, driving his truck through the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal. We would always chat about this and that, he always made my day a little better. I looked forward to seeing him pull up to the booth. So friendly and warm and he told a pretty good joke now and again. He will be missed. So sorry for your loss.

When I started working at BCFerries 12 yrs ago, everyone would always talk about Steve and Kim. It took me awhile to figure out that Kim was a guy and they were best mates sitting in the cafeteria in their spots. Well it didn't take me long to figure out what everyone else knew that these were 2 very special people. When Steve moved to day shift he would stop by the back entrance to the galley, he would ask how my day was and sometimes give me a hug to cheer me up :0) I will miss those hugs and smiles but I am for ever grateful to meet Steve.
