Stephen Kuduk II Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 17, 2017.
Stephen J. Kuduk II, age 59, of Hollywood Florida went to heaven peacefully on Tuesday May 9th 2017 surrounded by his family after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Born on October 14th, 1957, in Hartford Connecticut, he was the son of the late Stephen J. Kuduk I and Anna Jordan.
Steve worked in the IT and Insurance Industry for more than 25 years. When he semi-retired in 2012, Steve was Vice President of Application Technology and Architecture for a Fortune 500 Corporation. Most recently, he provided strategic IT consulting to financial services organizations. In his professional life, he never would have imagined that he would have led 100s of technology colleagues as a thought leader without even a college degree.
He enjoyed many activities, including restoring vintage cars, his Harley-Davidson, traveling, sports, politics, and enjoying home (Alina) cooked meals with friends and family. He recently restored a 1985 El Camino and was working on a 1958 Chevy Apache. He loved hanging out with Elvis, his beloved doggy, who as Steve would say, "ran the house". Steve was an active leader and mentor in various community organizations helping those going through troubled times.

Steve was most proud of all the people and relationships he was able to create and nurture, as is evidenced by all of those that have been sending love and prayers throughout this difficult journey. He was always proud to be able to feel comfortable across a wide spectrum of places and situations, from a homeless shelter to the boardroom. Because of these relationships, "Steve-hubs of friends and family" exist in so many places, from Wisconsin, Minnesota, California, Arizona, New York, Connecticut, North Carolina, to Texas, and in Miami (which Steve considered a different country).
He is survived by his loving wife Alina Amaral; two children, Caroline P. Kuduk and Stephen J. Kuduk III; two step-sons Daniel and David Escoto and a step-daughter Margot Caveglia; grandson Julian Boyle; twin-brother Daniel Kuduk and his wife Mary Kuduk; brother-in-law Stephen MacSuga; nieces, Ashley MacSuga-Gage, Erica Cook, Jena Schmidt, Alexandra Busse, Katie Sutton, and Jordan Kuduk; grandnieces and grandnephews Olive Sue Gage, River Preston-Gage, Scout Preston-Gage, Baylee Cook, Danika Bennett, Aiden Gootick, Parker Sutton, Hunter and Hayden Busse; cousins, Michael Jordan and Sister Irene Holowesko. Steve is joining three sisters in heaven, Susan MacSuga, Valerie Henson and Ruth Schmidt, and many other loving family and friends.

Memorial services for Stephen J Kuduk II will be held at 6:30 pm, Saturday, May 13th, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Ft Lauderdale, 33317. Steve will then travel to Hartford, Connecticut for services at Glastonbury Funeral Home on Friday, May 19th, 2017 at 8:30 AM at 450 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury, CT 06033, followed by a Mass at St Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church at 10:00 AM, at 55 Charter Oak Ave, Hartford, CT, 06106. A burial ceremony will follow at Mt. Saint Benedict Cemetery at 1 Cottage Grove Rd, Bloomfield, Connecticut 06002. Family and friends are invited to lunch after the burial at the Polish National Home at 60 Charter Oak Avenue, Hartford Connecticut, 06106, as was the Kuduk family tradition. Memorial donations may be sent to the Humane Society of Broward County at http:/humanebroward.com/donate, in honor of Steve's love for Elvis and hoping others can experience the same companionship.
