MALTEZOS, Stephen A.

of Tampa passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017. He was 81. He was born in Chicago, IL May 30, 1935, the son of the late Stavros and Katina (Cokins) Maltezos. He was a salesman by trade and described by those who knew him as "a nice guy." He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to all he met. He loved cars, action figures, movies, and books. He was preceded in death by his brother, Nicholas Maltezos and his wife, Helen. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Helen; son, Chris Maltezos; daughter, Kathy Kaburis (George); grandson, Mihail Kaburis and many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 N. Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa, FL 33614. Trisagion Service will take place at 7 pm. The funeral will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 at 9:30 am at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, Tampa, FL. Interment, Garden of Memories Cemetery in Tampa.
