Stephen Leon McAdams, 49, of Texas City, Texas, passed away on October 16, 2017. He was born on April 1, 1968 in Dayton, Texas. Stephen had a love for the outdoors, especially salt water fishing. He was preceded in death by his brother Eric Wade Sample. Stephen is survived by his mother Linda K. Sand; father Weldon Leon McAdams and wife Linda; children Elisia and Miguel Valencia; brothers Jason Sample and wife Shaina, Curtis Wooten and Michelle, and Ronnie Sand and wife Tanya; sister Stacey Ledford; grandchildren Nyellie, Reyna, and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Metcalf Funeral Directors from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Metcalf Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.

I Believe we transition spiritually after physical death. So I am going to address this msg to'Steve aka McFly, himself. I can't recall the last time I saw you, but I chose to remember the guy I knew for so many years. We met in school as teens but became friends w/ the same crowd as adults. After so many years, I can't remember EVER seeing you upset or causing trouble. ( in school, you were sometimes guilty by association but after pleading your case, given immunity, every time. LOL. I remember your kindness, your sense of humor & your ability to RATIONALIZE when everybody else was in a panic. Steve, you were a great friend to those who knew you. - #Godspeed See u on the other side. Ps: U better believe I'm going to add pics to your album. #Memories
