STEPHEN NOSKO Obituary
Life-long resident of North Braddock, age 88, on Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Stephen worked as a crane operator at Edgar Thompson in Braddock, for 43 years. Steve was also a decorated WWII Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific, Atlantic as well as North Africa on the Daniel T. Griffin Destroyer. After celebrating 57 years with the love of his life, Mary (Gregor) Nosko, Steve beat cancer and enjoyed the end of his days surrounded by his loving family and is with his guardian angels in heaven. Loving father of Joanne (Peter) Sylves, of Washington, PA, Mark (Carolyn Starkey) Nosko, of Greensburg and Dale (Kathy) Nosko, of Plum. Devoted grandfather of Peter Matt (Nicole) Sylves, Stephen (Jen) Sylves, Jennifer Sylves, Stephanie (Andrew) Lazarchik, Mark Stephen, II. and Kyle Ilgenfritz. Great grandfather of Liz, Katie and Jeremy. Friends welcome Thursday 2-8pm in the PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME 700 Linden Ave., East Pittsburgh 412-824-8800. Mass of Christian Burial in Good Shepherd Church Friday 9:30AM . Interment with military honors will follow at Braddock Catholic Cemetery. Aunt Mary and Family,
Although I cannot come back home to be with everyone because of college, I have been praying for our whole family for the past few days. I love everyone and will continue to pray for everyone. Know that Uncle Steve and Grandma Flo are watching over all of us and guiding and protecting us each and every day!
