I worked with Steve at Miranda many years ago. I just saw this notice today and am saddened to hear of his passing. He was always such a fun fellow.

Vicki and I were at the "celebration of life" for Stephen today and the room was overflowing with love. Every speaker was genuinely impressed with Stephen and his many accomplishment's. The Family Plumley picnics in our back-yard were mentioned and it sound's now like they are going to be re-established as early as this year. Stephen surely was a well respected and loved individual that will be forever missed and never forgotten. Vicki and I are proud to be part of the Plumley Family. R.I.P. Stephen until we meet again. Steve and I grew up together in Etobicoke - Sunday school, Scouts, Royal York CI and finally Vincent Massey CI. He had a great sense of humour and while we haven't seen each other for years I remembered him every time I drove by his street off Prince Edward Drive. My fondest memory was the fog bowl Grey Cup in 1962 - Steve's father always had tickets for events and we went to both parts of the game on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. RIP, friend. My sincere condolences to your family,
John Switzer

Always a gentleman, with a willingness to help wherever he could. A great friend to the Special Olympics movement in Toronto. Fond memories of listening to him talk about baseball. Peace be with you Steve and your family.

I recall sports being the connector, having family dinners at our place, playing hockey on our backyard rink, then racing from Leaside to Etobicoke to watch the Leafs on your PAY-TV, family vacations at Bayview Lodge and Christmas and New Years dinners every year. Rest in Peace cousin
