"Born to be Wild" was his favorite tune to rock out to at the time....dorm wise or also somewhat remember rockin to Steppenwolf, was it a VW van he had in his first semester at Antioch college. Anyway Steve´s easy going, relaxed nature made for a great transition to College life. I love the self portrait photo included, circa 1981... would be great if a collection of his works are available in book form. Lmk. Steve, your presence is missed!

As a kid, I was enamored by Stephen, a few years older than me, zipping around on his bike, playing hide n go-seek in the cemetery, and his kind and ever-present smile. I´m so sorry to learn of his untimely passing. Sending love to his extended family.

My deepest condolences. I knew Stevie in Stockbridge, where his energetic and compassionate spirit touched many. One story always made us laugh: Stevie got a boa constrictor, and then learned it had to be fed live prey. He got a live mouse and put it in the cage, but the boa must not have been hungry, so the mouse remained huddled in fear for 24 hours. In the end Stevie couldn't stand it any more; he took the boa back to the shop and kept the mouse for a pet!

My childhood would be incomplete without the friendship of Steve. Fishing, camping, hunting, scouting and growing up together. Although we lost track of each other over the years, he has always been in my memories and will stay there. Peace to the Rose family, Denise and his children.

Stephen was a pretty cool guy. I met him about 6 years ago. I didn't realise he was that old. He looked rather good for his age. My deepest condolences are extended to Denise and his extended family. RIP
