Stephen Seitz Obituary
Author and former Union Leader correspondent Stephen Seitz died of a sudden heart attack.
Longtime readers may recall his coverage of the Alstead, NH floods and Star Trek conventions.
Stephen wrote 3 well-received Sherlock Holmes pastiches, starting with Sherlock Holmes and the Plague of Dracula and 3 Ace Herron novels.
Steve was predeceased by father John Seitz and brother James Seitz. He is survived by wife Susan Austin; son Daniel Seitz (Alaina); his mother Sylvia Seitz; sisters Susan Seitz (Ed Cohen) and Sharon Annis (Eric).

I was terribly saddened to hear of Steve´s passing, as he has been a good friend of mine for over a quarter century. I always looked forward to getting together with he and Susan for a pleasant afternoon of breezy conversation (about books, movies, music and everything else under the sun...). I will cherish the memories of all the fun times we had together. He will be dearly missed...

I was so sorry to hear of Steve's death. He was a wonderful husband to Susan, father to Daniel and son to his mom Sylvia. Steve left this world much too soon. My prayers are with Steve's family.

Steve had an impressive grasp on Sherlock Holmes, and almost everthing else. A conversation with him was always engaging. He made great contributions to the Baker Street Breakfast Club (a Holmes group), particularly as first editor of the newsletter. Our condolences to Susan and Dan and other family.
