Rest in peace, Steve. I have lots of childhood memories of you, with my cousin Tommy and our mutual friend, Darren. Mostly around bowling league! You were a cool dude that I know will be so very missed by everyone you touched in your life. Praying for your family and sending lots of love. - Missy Moo

I think one thing that sticks out the most is the pranks and jokes he played. I remember being in schulenburg and he had hidden a speaker in a tree in the field. He would play random animal noises such as coyotes and freak all us kids out. I remember standing on that porch with him scared out of my wits hearing "coyotes" so close to us. Him laughing at all of us freaking out about the coyotes knowing it was just him with a sound machine. Or when we would all be in the kitchen in schulenburg just hanging out and being a family, chatting about our days and what the plans were. One thing I will never forget is that if any help was needed Uncle Steve was always there to lend a helping hand. Whether it be moving peoples belongings, working on cars, clearing trails or just being there to chat. He was always there.

I´ll miss you Uncle Steve

Stephen was born the day I had my tonsils out. I was 14. I remember babysitting him when Uncle Charlie and Aunt Susan went out with my parents. After we all grew up I didn´t see him as often. Usually at family events.
One thing i will always remember is Stephen´s hands. He had Shelander hands just like Uncle Charlie and my dad John. A strange memory but something that always comforted me. RIP Stevo. You will always be in our hearts.

It was a pleasure to work with Steve at TABS. He was always dependable, punctual and good for a laugh or a practical joke. I still can't process that he is gone. I pray for his family and friends who will miss him forever. Cindy Haskell (Tuttle).
