Stephen was a godsend to me when I worked for the Minister at HRDC. Our work relationship became a friendship. We talked politics, guitars, watches and so much more. He patiently tried to teach me to play guitar but we ended up just chatting and laughing. Since I moved from Ottawa our interaction became more intermittent but I always called at least on his birthday and we kept in touch via email. I'm so very sorry to hear of his passing and my most sincere condolences to his family.
