Mr. Stephen Keith Workman

I first met Steve at a California Writers Club Tri-Valley Branch meeting in Pleasanton in early 2008. The warmth of his smile, the spark of life and enthusiasm for writing he displayed that day didn't diminish as he fought the courageous battle against brain cancer in recent years. Steve's legacy lives on through those he touched with his dedication to this group of prose and poetry writers.

What a Heartbreaking loss!
Those who know and love Steve can be Grateful for the Precious time they shared with Him.
He Surely is in Heaven and holding places for those He loves.

Through my client, but moreso, friend Pat, I got to meet her lovely Husband Steve... Steve was so sweet! I had invited Pat and Steve to my church and also shared some information, with them in hopes that they would find encouragement through God's love... The first time I met Steve was while they were walking by the salon one night on their way to dinner. They saw me in the salon and Steve immediately came in to give me a big hug and to say "Thank you!" ... After that, every time I saw Steve he poured out his smiles, hugs and thankfulness to me! He just shined so brightly and that's how I will always remember him!!!! Love you both!!!! <3<3<3

My most heartfelt condolences go out to you, Pat, and your family. I will fondly remember Steve's passion for work, family, and dogs. May God's grace spillover you all and provide the comfort and peace in this time of mourning.

It was a pleasure to work with and for Steve. " He was a wonderful person and funny!" My sympathies goes out to the family. " He will truly be missed".

Pat, In your sorrow and loss, May God's presence bring you comfort and peace. We are so thankful for getting to know the two of you at our Cancer Support Group. Steve helped us that needed to get closer to the Lord.

It has been an honour and a privilege to have been your friend since your parents lived in Derby in 1971. In the days before emails it was a delight to receive your handwritten letters that transported us into your world. You were an adopted member of our family, a true "English Gentleman". Your memory will live forever in our hearts.

So very sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I've know him since Sunday School days at Speedway Christian Church and Speedway High School. He was so very smart and a good leader as President of our Junior Class (I was the Treasurer). I'll never forget him driving an antique car dressed in period clothing at our Senior year homecoming. Condolences to his family.

We are so sorry for your loss cousin. We have gone through some difficult times but we know God is in control and will lead us on until we see our love ones again. Steve was a wonderful person and will be greatly miss. We love you very much.

Even though we met Steve only 6 or 7 times while visiting Greg and Lindsey we were amazed at the ease of conversation, and the stories he would tell. We also were fortunate to go to the Indy 500, again sharing the history and the previous wins and of course some crashes. We knew right away how he loved his family we met his mother Betty, and the respect for each other was evident. We are so fortunate we had most of the family present for Lindsey and Greg's wedding, Steve told us it was one of the best days of his life, that is the man we will remember!

We are deeply saddened by the news of your loss and extend our deepest sympathies to Pat and your entire family. It was a pleasure to not only have the experienced Steve's professional dedication but to witness the character of his heart and devotion to the people and causes that he held dear. It was an honor to know him.

Pat I am sorry for ur loss he will be greatly missed. You are both such beautiful people and now he is with our Father in heaven resting in peace. I love you and pray for comfort for you and your family

Uncle Steven was one of a kind. Thoughtful, silly and genuine are 3 words that quickly come to mind to describe him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Steve you were a kind, wonderful, gentile human being that was loved by many. I am truly blessed to have know you during your time on earth. May you rest in peace!
