Stephen M. Wright, age 50, of Churchville, MD, died on May 20, 2010 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of Eleanor Catherine White Wright of Aberdeen, MD and the late William Patrick Wright Sr. A graduate of Harford Christian High School and Elon University, he was a Certified Public Accountant, as well as, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and was also presently a candidate for Harford County Executive. A lifelong resident of Harford County, he was also co-owner of Simmons-Wright Airpark in Churchville, MD, president and founder of the Route 40 Republican Club and founder and board member of North Harford Republican Club. He also held the position of Officer with the National Republican Liberty Caucus and was serving his second term for the Republican Central Committee. A former legislative aide to the late State Senator Robert Hooper, he was also past co-chair of the Michael Steele for US Senate campaign. A member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Church in Joppa, MD, he was a private pilot, very patriotic, an organizer of the Tea Party Movement, deeply devoted to the Constitution, and loved his country. In addition to his mother, Mr. Wright, who was a loving and devoted husband and father, is survived by his wife of 17 years, Krista Denise Goodwin Wright of Churchville, MD; daughters, Meagan Wright of Rising Sun, MD, McKenzie and Katie Wright of Churchville, MD; brothers, Patrick Wright of Bel Air, MD, Robert Wright of Rising Sun, MD, Edward Wright of Havre de Grace, MD and David Wright of San Diego, CA; and sister, Carolyn Singleton of Aberdeen, MD. In addition, he will be missed by numerous close friends and associates.
