My Dearest Nannu, I love you so very much. Although I live so far, you were always in my thoughts and the memories of you will continuously live in my heart forever. Grandpa, I am so proud to be a part of this beautiful strong family. One special memory that I will never forget grandpa, and will always cherish and laugh every time it comes into my head is when you use to call me Captain Trouble with that big beaming smile from ear to ear as you were saying it. I will miss you alot. May the Good Lord shine the light upon you! I love you and Rest In Peace Grandpa.

Dearest Nannu,
I will always remember your gentle strength and beaming smile. You were a pillar of strength for the family and I always admired your hard work and dedication.
Although we lived so far away and the time we had together was limited, I always enjoyed the time we spent together especially our trips up-north, Florida, and our cruise. I will always hold close and cherish the memories I have of you.
I am so grateful that Luke and Daniel had the honor of knowing you. Luke always speaks so fondly of Nannu Steven and when you came to Michigan. He remembers how you playfully teased him with your cane and laughs when he shares this memory. You will never be forgotten and will always live in our hearts.
May you rest in peace as you look down on the legacy you created. I will miss you! I love you.

Dearest Dad,
I miss you so very much! They say in time, the grief will subside, but I will never stop wishing I could see you or hear your voice again, even if it is on the phone. But I am so happy for you Dad, because the exemplary life that you have lived, has no doubt, earned you a “front row” spot in heaven where I am sure, you will continue to watch over Mom and your children.
I will cherish every memory that I have of you Dad, especially those of the few trips we took together and your visits to Michigan. It always amazed me how after five or so hours of driving a car full of boys, you still managed to have that great big smile on your face.
You always had a great zest for life and tried to live it to the fullest. It didn't take much to make you happy; you found pleasure in the simplest things of life. For example, you loved sharing your great pastizzi with others, showing off your spotless car, or more recently your flower gardening. But one of the things that you really enjoyed and clearly made you happy was when you were surrounded by family. I for one, will greatly miss that big smile and hug when you came to the door to greet me whenever I came to visit.
Dad, I love you and I will miss you.
May you rest in peace.

I was only four years old when uncle Stephen emigrated with his family to Canada. I vividly remember driving with you to the airport in my dad's (Victor) then new van Ford White Cortina. I also remember going to his house in Simpson Street, Marsa and playing on the piano. I will always remember my uncle Stephen as a jolly and kind man who loved his family. I'm sure he is in heaven praying for us. We will keep you in our prayers especially aunt Nina.

My dearest Dad, you have been a great friend, and have been the strength and the core of this wonderful family. I don't know how I am going to get through this life without seeing your beautiful contagious smile. I remember one of the many, kind and touching things that you did and will always stick in my head. It was when we were on the plane immigrating to this wonderful country. It was the three of us, you, Joyce and I, as the family was too large to come to this country at the same time. Seeing us upset leaving the rest of the family and all of our friends behind, you wanted to do something not to see us so unhappy. Shortly after we had taken off, you reached into your pocket and handed us a cigarette each to make us feel better. I know how much you disapproved of us smoking but you still did it because that is how much you loved us. We thought we were smart keeping this secret from you, but not you Dad, you always somehow knew what each and every one of us was doing. When we finished the cigarette, you said to us; do not let me see you smoke again, and he didn’t, but he always knew that we still smoked. I know as each day goes by my pain will very slowly start to subside. I will never ever forget your great sense of humour Dad. You will always be remembered, and will always be in the deepest part of my heart as a loving and incredible Dad. God will keep you in his mercy. I love you Dad!

Stephen Zammit was a beautiful man inside and out. He helped raise one of the most wonderful families, one that I am grateful to be apart of. He lived a long and happy life, fought bravely for his Country and truly had the sweetest smile. To say he will be missed is an understatement, but his memory will live on forever through our thoughts and prayers of him, and through the legacy of his family. I am so sorry that I cannot be there to say goodbye and lend my support but please know that I am thinking of you all.

Dear Dad, I am so proud to be your son and to have been named after you. It’s a great honour to share your name but your shoes are way too large for me to try to fill. I am so going to miss you. At least there is a lot (and I mean a lot) of fond memories to draw from in those sad times. I know you are re-united with your family and very busy but you must keep an eye on us as well like you always have. I know in my heart that at some point we will be re-united as well. God bless you. I love you very much Dad.

It is always difficult to find the right words at a time of such great sadness. Living in Florida, the only time I had with Mr. Zammit was at the marriage of my daughter, Kira, to his son, Mario. I met all the Zammit's at that happy occasion, and quickly gleaned, at the root of this wonderful family was Mr. & Mrs. Zammmit. What a tribute you all are to your father and mother. I trust you will take comfort in knowing you will be re-united with him one day in heaven. With my love and deepest sympathy to all the Zammit family, extended family, and friends. Sincerely, Louise

Mr. Zammit, even though I did not get a chance to know you I feel like I did through your beautiful family. Your wonderful children are a testament to what a loving, dedicated, honorable man that you were. It is because of your dedication to family it not only benefited your children but grandchildren and step grandchildren and those who came in contact with them. My neice has a wonderful father who is honorable, loving and dedicated to his daughter this was only possible because of you and your wife's love of family. Words cannot express how truly we are blessed to have the Zammit family now a part of our family. We know that you are sitting with Our Lord and living in the Heavenly light that has been promised to us who Believe. With a grateful heart.

My elder siblings tell me we didn't have much, trying to make ends meet for ten children of immigrants was challenging on the best of days, i never would have guessed that to be the case as I always had clothes on my back and food in my stomach, they brought us to Canada with nothing and managed with only what our loving, hard working father earned. Heck they even signed whoever wished into sports, "give first and worry about how to balance the budget second"
I grieve for my mom who lost the man she loved for more than 66 years, I know not what the future holds though I do hope that one day it leads us back to you Dad.....
