Stevanija Vukas Obituary
Stevanija Vukas (Raic), age 91 of Schererville, passed away Wednesday July 25, 2012. She is survived by her children: Ray (Marian) Vukas of Schererville, Fred (Donna) Vukas of Dyer, and Violet (Jovan) Tica of Schererville; grandchildren: Jason (Dana) Vukas of Dyer, Louis (Amy) Vukas of Dyer, Dr. Daniel (Mirjana) Vukas of Western Springs, IL, Sonja (Bill) Bednar of Dyer, Stefani and Milan Tica of Schererville; great grandchildren: Mirjana and Branko, Gianna and Nikola, and Vladimir and Ivana Vukas; numerous nieces, nephews, Kumovi, and many dear friends. Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Dragomir. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church of Schererville with V. Rev. Dobrivoje Milunovic officiating. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends are invited to visit with Stevanija's family on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Lincoln-Ridge Funeral Home, 7607 W. Lincoln Highway, Schererville (Rt. 30 east of Cline Ave.). Pomen prayer service Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. Stevanija was a member of the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, St. George Circle of Serbian Sisters, and the Chetnik Circle of Sisters. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
