Steve Allen Arnold, 61, of Kokomo passed away at 5:00 PM Thursday February 14, 2019 at Community Hospital North, Indianapolis. Born March 3, 1957 in Kokomo, he was the son of the late Carl and Dorothy (Ford) Brewer. He was a veteran of the United States Army for over 15 years. He was a cook at Richards Restaurant for many years. He also worked at Gas America on 931. On July 31, 2011, in Kokomo, he married Betty Kay (Smith), and she survives. Steve enjoyed camping, fishing, bow hunting, playing cards, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife Betty Kay Arnold of Kokomo; two daughters Stephanie (David) Higley of Peru, Christina Marner-Shupperd and Joshua Shupperd Florence, KY; one brother Len Burress of Kokomo; three sisters Teresa Shallenberger and Allen Davis, Carol Brewer, and Deedot Cook-Burress, all of Kokomo; his mother-in-law Barbara Mullen of Kokomo; brother-in-law Jose' Garcia of Kokomo; two sisters-in-law April Gonzalez of Bradenton, FL and Virginia Heath of Hardinburg, IN. There are also eight grandchildren Amber, Rachel, Jasmine, Aiden, Hailey, Eliana, Colton, Hunter, two nieces and five nephews. There are also special friends Allen and Sheila Harris of Kokomo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister-in-law, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday February 21, 2019 at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo. Associate pastor Curtis Matteson will officiate. Burial with military honors by the U.S. Army and the Kokomo Military Rites Team will follow at Crown Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday at the mortuary.
