Dear Dick and Mary,
My heart felt condolences to you and your entire family for the loss of your dear son Steve. Andy and Rachel remember watching Steve play basketball when he was in high school and that was a thrill for them! Your son is now sitting at the right hand of our Lord Jesus Christ and his spirit will live with you until you see him again in Heaven.
God bless,
Debbie Heisler

We do not know any of you and did not know Stephen but heard about this horrific tragedy from the media.
Our hearts are broken for you and all of Stephen's loved ones and all the victims on that awful night.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I had the privilege of knowing Steve for over 30 years when we were both freshman at Wauwatosa West High School and sat in front of him in English. I spent the entire year trying to keep a straight face at the teacher while Steve carried on with jokes and remarks. A friendship was born then and we remained friends until last week. I pestered him about getting on Facebook so we could connect more, but he said it wasn't his thing. Steve was one of the good guys. He was smart and talented and an incredible addition to this world. Myself and our classmates are forever better by knowing Steve and his family. Rest now Steve, we will see you again.

Steve was my friend of 30+ years. We have known each other since we were 13 years old and have remained close friends ever since. He and I have shared many of lifes happiest and also challenging times together. The tragic and senseless loss will be forever felt by those who knew him and loved him. I will miss you my dear friend and I will hold you close to my heart forever.
