Rest in peace cousin Steve. Your Aunty Ivy always spoke so highly of you. I was fortunate enough to meet you and the family on a number of occasions and am grateful for that. Thinking of the whole family. Much love from Lucy and family in Denmark xxx

A message from Marcel and Michelle Van der Park in Cambridge, NZ
To my fellow Legend teammate and friend
I am sorry I cannot there in person and my heart goes out to you all, my deepest sympathies to Fiona and the family, Taff was much loved and adored.
I was very sad to learn that Taff had finally succumbed to this cruel disease, especially in the prime of his life.
I have very fond memories of my time with Taff and shared many a beer and laugh, Taff was one of those charismatic guys that one is instantly drawn to, I loved his wit, honesty, good frank conversations and his love of family and devotion to his friends
I take heart and gratitude to all that have supported him in the past few years, I enjoyed watching all the antics and awesome things he got up to
passing to the other side is never an easy journey, but know Taff we will be there with you eventually so rest easy my friend for more beers, footy and fun...
So big hugs and love to all from me my family to yours
Once a legend always a legend..XXX

I remember Steve as a committed team mate. He was always willing to step up and help where it was needed. On the soccer/football pitch it was to play any position for the team, even in goal. In touch rugby, it was bringing along all of your girls to play when we were short of female players. I'll always treasure those memories of your silky skills and commitment to the team.
