ps, watch out for those souped up wildcats in overhead trees at night,like the one when we were twelve years old, I still don't know who won the race to get back to the old shack,except to say you had the flashlight an the bobcat was left behind, I THINK!!!

Steve an me were like brothers growing up,we were constant companions in our beloved hills an the old shack we stayed in with my dad anytime we could be there, an I'm glad in his final days he was once again there with my dad an someday we'll all be there together again. I love you Steve, an hardly a day goes by I don't think back to the days that we ran the hills together as boys, an snuck out later on at sixteen in dads old falcon when he was asleep, an things we only know, not bad but still ornery!!!!!

Steve will definitely be missed by many. He was always a funny guy, no matter the situation. He loved sitting in his truck watching my kids play in our back yard. He would even drive to our fence line just to holler at Gavin. Great man, great neighbor, and we will all miss him.

I will Miss you uncle Steve you gave me my first bicycle and got me hooked on western books. I loved to hear you tell stories and sing. Whe I was growing up I wanted to be just like you I just hope I'm a quarter of the man you were. Love Ronnie

Steve you will be truly missed. When ever I see a boxing match on tv I remember the nights we would watch them together. There are so many to post like the night we all went to Scott and Tammy Voslers that was a great night also. And to my sister in law Gail my heart is hurting for your grief i'm so sorry that you have to go through this will pray for your heart to be comforted more and more each day. love you

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our prayers are with you in your time of need. God heals all. Know that he is painless and happy. We did not have the pleasure of knowing Steve personally, but hearing stories from his son Sam, I know he was a great man. Lead by example.

I am so glad I got to meet you twenty some years ago. Sure am going to miss watching all those late night westerns with you. You are with the LORD right now so what ever job he gives you Git 'er done will ya? Your "second wife" Karla

I am really going to miss you Dad. The fondest memories of my life are the ones of us driving the old Brown Ford truck to the pond, putting the boat on the water, and just sitting there for hours fishing and talking. It didn't even matter to me whether we caught fish or not. I enjoyed it because I was with you. I loved working on our cars together, we weren't pro's but we got the job done. When I would need advice, I would call you first. You always told it like it was, even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear. I love you dad, and I always will.

I love you and miss you Dad. Even though it's not proper or polite to say that you're better off or that you're in a better place, I really believe that you are. There's no more pain in Heaven, we know what I mean.

I wish I could go back even just one year and realize how serious things were and spend more time with you instead of being a coward and acting like this wasn't really happening.

I'm sorry and I love you and I'm just happy for you that you got to choose your fate and go with dignity and not be scared to face death like most people. That's why in THIS life you get to be my Hero. <3 Kyle
