Even eleven years later, I miss Steve more than I can express. Despite the relatively short amount of time he was in my life, he left it forever changed. He loved my mom and brought her true happiness in life. And even though he didn't have to, he was a real father to me. He taught me to be kind yet strong, he encouraged me to be caring and still grow thicker skin. He was genuine, his goofy smile was infectious, and when he hugged you, you knew he really meant it. I hope Steve would have been proud of the man I'm working to become, because he was such a huge part of shaping this man. Even though we were never related by blood, we were by love, and he will forever be my dad.

Steve was such a great guy. My Mom taught his Sunday School class at Rose Hill Baptist Church and he was one of her favorites. She too is in heaven now and I know she gave him the biggest hug and welcomed him Home when he got there.
He will be greatly missed. God bless you Tracy and the kids. Let His loving arms wrap you in His Love and know that His Grace is sufficient.

I'm proud to say that I've considered Steve to be my friend since the 3rd grade. I can't recall him letting anything about life get him down. Steve, thank you for being in our lives. You always cared. I know you feel Kim & Kay hugs along with the big Jesus hug your getting right now. I guess he wanted to see you first. We love you, Steve.
