Steve Huynh Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 22, 2019.
Steve Truong Ngoc Huynh, passed away February 6, 2019 at the age of 23 years, following a car accident in Vancouver. Steve is survived by his loving mother Muoi, his father Hong, brothers David and Joseph as well as many other family and many friends. Steve attended Mount Pleasant Elementary School and Gladstone Secondary School.

Steve was very community minded and donated his time and money to purchase food for those living on the streets. He also bought food and treats for stray cats. He dedicated many hours towards fixing cars, phones and electronics for free to low income individuals. Steve volunteered his time at the local temples.

Steve was a generous individual who tried to make sure his family was taken care of. For example he bought gaming systems so he could have time with this little brother when he came to visit. He would take his mom out for dinners to help make her feel special and bought her a computer to help her keep in touch and watch movies. He always tried to find ways to make his mom smile. His dream was to help send his younger brother back to post secondary school, even buying him a laptop and setting up a money jar. He would be heartbroken to know that the things he worked so for were lost in the fire, but he would be happy to know that community had stepped up in his absence to help his family.

As many may know the family suffered two losses the day of Steve's car accident, they lost their home and life possessions to a fire. We are asking anyone that may have photos of the Huynh family and of Steve to please send them to [email protected] . We will also accept some donations of clothing or good used furniture. Please email [email protected] to inquire.

Funeral Service for Steve will be held at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, 1835 East Hastings St. Vancouver, on Saturday March 23rd, 2019 at 9:30am. Cremation will take place following the service.
